Bounty Logistics Service Corporation

Bounty Logistics represents a natural diversification of Bounty Fresh with a specialization in the transportation, warehousing and handling of fresh produce. While emphasis is placed on servicing the seasonal volumes of Bounty Fresh, the company also provides logistical services to third-party companies in order to optimize excess warehouse capacity.

Bounty Fresh has grown rapidly over the past three years, providing a strong foundation for Bounty Logistics. And as in-house volumes continue to grow, the need for third-party suppliers will be greatly reduced, but certainly not eliminated.

An experienced leadership team is currently in place for Bounty Logistics, and the company operates with a clear mandate to balance consistent business with suppliers who have crops from specific regions that counter-balance unforeseen volume projections shortfalls - often the result of sporadic climatic and transportation changes. The importation of fresh produce from Latin America is primarily a seasonal business, except for certain tropical products such as pineapples, mangos, papayas, bananas and root crops. With the goal of filling the current seasonal supply gap in the utilization of warehouse capacity, Bounty Logistics has already obtained commitments from independent suppliers of year-round tropical food commodities.

The recent acquisition of a state-of-the-art cold storage facility - located in a premium quality industrial park just west of the Miami International Airport - has provided Bounty Logistics with a cost-efficient infrastructure. This competitive positioning has enabled Bounty Logistics to assure potential customers of proper handling for produce and other food commodities. In addition, Bounty Logistics has already developed a network of logistical support service companies in the producing countries. This will allow the company to better secure available air cargo space requirements, and ensure proper product distribution.

The logistics division provides solid added-value to the produce division by offering enhanced service quality, which is particularly critical for Bounty Fresh's marketing of "Ripe-and-Ready-to-Eat" fruits. The controlled cost provides comparative advantages, which are not attainable through third-party services.
